Safe Housing Options for Women & Families

At the Virginia Women and Family Support Center (VAWFSC), we are committed to helping you find a safe and stable place to call home. If our two-year residential program aligns with your needs, please complete the intake form here or call 571-261-2838.

 

Our two-year housing program offers a nurturing environment where pregnant mothers and mothers with children under the age of 7 can have stability and support. Our program offers daily case management, a variety of classes such as parenting, nutrition, childbirth preparation, spiritual education, workforce development, life skills, trauma support, wellness care, and financial planning. Our courses empowers women with the knowledge and skills for a brighter future and to break cycles of trauma.  

For those who are not qualified for our program, on our waitlist, or are seeking alternative housing solutions, we have partnered with local organizations dedicated to supporting women and families. Explore these resources below to find the assistance you need.

If you and your family are in need of shelter, there are dedicated services available to assist you. In Fairfax County, you can reach out to the Fairfax County Coordinated Services Planning (CSP) at 703-222-0880. If you are located in Loudoun County, please contact their Coordinated Entry Services at 703-777-0420

Please call 540.351.0130 to complete an eligibility screening for admission into the Emergency Shelter. Photo identification is required for admission and all potential shelter intakes will be subject to a criminal history background check.

Vint Hill Transitional Housing

The program is an intensive one year or two year program assisting families from being homeless to acquiring the skills necessary to maintain stable and independent housing. The VHTH community is based on providing a structured, safe environment for the nurturing of families, the growth and well being of children and fostering community amongst all neighborhood families.
