Maternal Health Open Houses — September 16 and 30, 9:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. These Open Houses provide an opportunity for community members to learn more about the Center’s maternal health program, Carried to Full Term, as well as the resources and services available to support growing families.
Free Yoga Classes are offered every Wednesday from 6:00–7:00 p.m. These welcoming sessions are designed to support relaxation, movement, and overall wellness. All experience levels are welcome, and participation is free and open to the community.
Free Pregnancy Testing will be available on September 8 and September 22 from 12:00–5:00 p.m. on a walk-in basis. No appointment is required.
Through these programs, the Virginia Women and Family Support Center continues to create opportunities for women and families to access trusted education, practical resources, and meaningful community support.
“We cannot talk about improving maternal health outcomes without talking about the conditions that affect pregnancy, birth, and recovery," shared Frances Robin, Founder and Executive Director of Virginia Women and Family Support Center. “I have seen firsthand that housing, transportation, nutrition, emotional support, and continued care after childbirth are not separate conversations. They make up the maternal health conversation. Helping women with comprehensive services and removing barriers to accessing care are at the heart of our work.”
